Verdict of $800,000 Following Repetitive Work Injury
Lawyer John Dougherty alleged that Shannon Graves suffered a repetitive work injury leading to an aggravation of a thoracic outlet syndrome. This lead to problems primarily with the use of her arm. The defendants denied that the work caused an aggravation and secondarily argued that since the problems were primarily in the arm that it should be a scheduled injury as opposed to a body as a whole type of injury. Attorney Dougherty made a demand for permanent total disability. Defendants refused to respond to this demand and made no offer whatsoever.
After a hearing, Shannon was awarded permanent total disability, which resulted in a verdict with the present value of over $800,000 together with all medical bills past and present.
