If you have suffered a work related injury, it is important that you give notice to your employer, as soon as possible. Unless the employer has knowledge of the occurrence of the injury within ninety (90) days, you will not be able to pursue a claim for workers' compensation benefits. The safest way to give notice of an injury is in writing. Your attorney may give written notice for you. You should be aware that there are some legal exceptions to this 90-day rule.
